I'm ONE!!!!

>> July 6, 2009

Wow...I am ONE whole year old today! 12 months...52 weeks...365 days! Mommy & Daddy can't believe it's been an entire year already since I was born -- time sure does fly! To celebrate my birthday, we had a busy, fun-filled day!

Here I am...just waking up -- I'm still a little sleepy...

First off, I get to have a special treat for breakfast...Jamba Juice Oatmeal!

Next on my day of fun adventure...my mommy buys me some birthday balloons!!!

Once I've played with my balloons, it's off to one of my favorite places - Academy of Sciences! I really enjoy the play area there:

On the way home, we stopped at the park to ride the swings (my favorite!!)

Okay...and here's the part you've all been waiting for...my birthday cakes! Yes...I did say cakeS -- mommy couldn't decide which one to get me, so I had THREE!!

I wind down with a bath, and then bedtime stories with mommy.

Happy Birthday my baby Boy. Mommy loves you!!!

My First 4th of July!

>> July 4, 2009

It was my first 4th of July, and boy what a week leading up to it!

Mommy had some "leftover" FMLA time, so I got to spend a lot of time with my mommy. Unfortunately, I did get sick, so there were TWO trips to see Dr. Kasuga this week -- I wasn't too thrilled about that.

I was all better for the 4th of July weekend! It started out with a fun picnic at mommy & daddy's friend "Uncle" Victor's house, a walk through the Foster City festival, and then fireworks!! I wasn't even scared of the loud "booms" that came along with the fireworks.
Here are some pictures of the fun weekend:

Here I am...going for a wagon ride

crawling around on my walkway
waiting for the fireworks, and playing with Goong-Goong's bouncy ball

the fireworks are COOL!!

What a day!!! Hope you all had a happy 4th of July!!

Time for a Gate

>> May 24, 2009

In reality, we needed a gate about a month ago. The usual toys and distractions are no longer working with Jaden. No longer can we bounce a ball, clap our hands, call his name and expect him to respond. Our son seems to be on his own path and we are not to bother him with our trivial "Jaden don't touch that" or "Jaden...hot, Hot, HOT" Most of the time he gives us a courtesy blank stare in our direction, turns around and continues with his own agenda. I am almost certain that when he turns he is smiling and laughing...at me.

Here's a small vid of our son doing what we told ourselves we wouldn't let him do until he's ready.

Anyways...I hope you enjoy following our continuing adventures with Jaden.
